Hello everyone, I hope the New Moon was sweet to you. It was some heavy energy, for sure, but I kind of just laid a bit low and rode it out. I do love a nice New Moon ritual and big intentions, but I was very literally called to basically sit this one out and keep it low-key. And so I did, and it was nice. But I’m feeling energized and energetic which is usually so unlike me around the New Moon, so I guess the rest paid off, right? Right!
Energetic Healing
Good Thursday, and I hope everyone had a beautiful and blessed Beltane, I know I did. I spent the weekend working spells and doing tarot readings which have been such a monumental joy for me, I know I keep repeating myself, but being able to do these tarot readings with folks face-to-face is such a beautiful energy exchange. And yes, it’s online so there is that distance, but the messages have been coming through so strongly and I am overwhelmed by the openness that I have received from everyone.

Welcome everyone, and happy birthday to my mother. Today, November 17th is her birthday, happy birthday, Ma. You guys would love her, everyone does. She is a pistol. What else is going on? We have Sagittarius season coming next Tuesday, I believe, Wednesday is the New Moon, and of course next Thursday is American Thanksgiving if you celebrate that.

Hello, witches! Thank you to everyone who sent congratulations on the anniversary of our podcast last week. I can’t say how much it means to me. I really can’t. I’m really excited that I’m getting to connect with so many people on the forums on the website, middleagedwitch.com. There are some really cool witches hanging out there, so I hope you’ll join the discussion. And I’m looking forward to this next year, beginning of course with Virgo season coming next Tuesday, the 23rd. We are already on the backside of Leo season, if you can believe it. And I hope everyone’s full moon intentions went well. All I really tried to pour out into the universe was gratitude. And of course I made some moon water. But back to business!
Dream Magick
Hello, and welcome to the last episode of March, and the last day of March as well. We are taking a week off from Birth Charts and we are going to talk about good old Dream Magic. Dreams are one of the more interesting aspects of the human experience. And science still has no idea why we do it. Why do our brains slip into an altered state of consciousness while we are at rest? What is the evolutionary benefit of having these wild hallucinations every night? They have theories, and some of them seem very solid, but the fact of the matter is that we don’t really know. Science can’t definitively tell us why we dream, or even what dreams actually are. But we don’t need science to explain that dreams, that the dream state, is very powerful.

I have had a hell of a couple weeks, and I didn’t plan a goddamn thing. And you know what, that’s fine. Sometimes the best thing you can do to recognize the Full Moon is realize that you need to rest and honor that.

Today is Thursday, September 9. The moon is waxing crescent, and the next full moon will be on Monday, September 20. That’ll be the Harvest Moon, here in time to usher in the Autumn Equinox on the 22nd. So we’ve got a couple weeks to put together a really wonderful ritual to express gratitude for what we’ve harvested this year.

Today is Thursday, September 2. The moon is waning crescent in Cancer. Monday, the 6th will be the New Moon, so it’s time to maybe start thinking about the intentions we want to set at this time. I know that a lot of witches like to use the New Moon to set intentions for things they want to release, or things they want to banish, and I do that myself from time to time.
