Welcome to the Autumn Equinox 2022 episode. Yes, I know, Mabon isn’t until next Thursday, but I want to talk about it today, give us a little time to make some plans, get some ideas for ritual activities.
Welcome to September, witches! Can you feel the veil thinning? As we approach the autumn equinox, as Samhain crests over the horizon, as we come closer and closer to the parting of the veil, we are going to feel and notice a lot more spirit activity. We are going to feel our ancestors and our guides a lot closer to us than usual. This isn’t something to be feared, this is something to welcome and to rejoice in. And it’s also going to be a time when we experience more activity around our homes than usual. I had an email about that kind of thing recently and I’m just going to read a bit from that:
Today is Thursday, September 16, the moon is waxing gibbous, and at least here in Southern California, the weather is cooling ever so slightly. And, in about a week, we will be celebrating the Autumn Equinox here in the northern hemisphere. Now, because the mission statement of this podcast is practical witchcraft for everyday life, I thought we could talk a little bit about this festival and what it can mean in our lives as modern witches.
